Tello

🚀 MAIN FEATURES
Next on our list is another amazing drone called Tello. This fun little device was powered by DJI to inspire young people. Tello comes without a remote controller, so you need a compatible smartphone to operate this drone. You can perform interesting flying stunts, like throw&go, flips, and bounces. The app allows you to learn programming by coding commands your drone will be able to perform. What a fun way to learn! The programmable commands, 720p camera, and image stabilization feature can make it just as joyous of an activity for adults too.

DESIGN AND PORTABILITY
This tiny device weighs only 80 grams! However, that means it’s more fragile and prone to breaking. The blades are safeguarded by plastic protectors to prevent them from breaking during an accidental crash. The downside of Tello is that its blades are not foldable, and the device doesn’t come with any carrying case, making transporting this drone much more complicated.

EASE OF USE
As Tello is primarily meant for young drone pilots, it is super user-friendly. There are features like automatic take-off and landing that can be done with a single tap on the smartphone. Another way to start flying is the throw&go option, which sets the drone off by simply tossing it in the air. If you want to perform more complicated tricks, you can code them with the special app, which supports Scratch—a block-based visual programming system.

VALUE
Tello is a great option for beginners who want to learn drone piloting. This device is inexpensive; however, if you prefer operating drones with a remote controller instead of a phone or wish to have a travel case for your drone, you have to purchase them separately, which adds up to a rather pricey set. On the other hand, if your needs are basic, Tello is definitely a drone to check out.
