Signia Styletto X

🦻 MAIN FEATURES
Last but not least on our list is Signia’s Styletto X hearing aids. Stylish and innovative, it only came fifth because of price (the second most expensive on this list) and the fact that it can only be controlled via the app. It also includes a carrying case that doubles as a charger, and it can itself be charged using Qi technology. It might not be as convenient as replaceable batteries, but it definitely results in less waste and long-term expenses. What users are certain to appreciate in Styletto X is the impeccable sound quality that will showcase the best audio experience a device could offer.

DESIGN AND COMFORT
Despite not being a CIC type of hearing aid, there is no way you could fault Styletto X for style. In fact, this device is so stylish it has an award to prove it. You can also choose between available colors – white/rose-gold, blue/rose-gold, black/silver, or plain white. The ultra-thin exterior also makes Signia’s Styletto X very comfortable – perhaps more than all other devices of similar over-the-ear design. For those who don’t mind a non-CIC design, there really isn’t a more stylish option than Styletto X. So, even though there are flaws that prevented us from ranking this device higher, style is where Signia excels above all else.

EASE OF USE
While design and audio quality are definitely Styletto’s strong suits, its controls aren’t. People who prefer to operate their devices directly might not appreciate the in-app controls, as it would mean that you will not be able to handle your hearing aid without also having your phone nearby. While app controls certainly allow a more comprehensive range of settings, there is no reason not to have at least a volume dial on the hearing aid itself. The principle and use are not difficult to master, but dependence on a smartphone certainly cuts a significant number of potential users out.

VALUE
In a way, we can understand why Signia’s Styletto X hearing aid is one of the priciest options – it is a highly modern device, both in brilliant design and superb audio quality. But perhaps the innovation went a bit too far when it comes to simplicity. Replaceable batteries are a less time-consuming option, but Styletto X is rechargeable. Controlling the device directly would be easier, particularly to less tech-savvy users, but these hearing aids can only be controlled via the app. Once you look from the technical perspective, you see that the price is certainly justified, but was it worth it? Up to you to decide.
