Another great competitor in the market is from Lasko. Even though we had to rank this device fourth on our list, it still has quite some tricks up its sleeve. Just like our third choice, Lasko can be controlled remotely. Another great thing about this heater is that it has a built-in programmable thermostat with an 8-hour timer, so you can set the temperature to your liking and Lasko will do its job for continuous eight hours. This heater is undoubtedly effective as it has an elongated heating element, which can heat up the space in a matter of minutes.
DESIGN AND USE
Even though Lasko might not be the ideal heater to put on your office desk, it still is a nice option that can distribute the heat evenly. The best thing about it, of course, is the remote control so you don’t have to get up every single time you want to change the setting – just point the remote towards Lasko and select the heating mode you want. If you want to carry this device from one room to another, you will find a convenient carrying handle at the backside of the unit. What some people found a bit disappointing was the weight of this heater as it is heavier than its counterparts.
VALUE
All things considered, Lasko is a great heater. It does its job quickly and effectively, so it would be a great one-time investment. Bonus points for the remote control function! However, because it is a bit heavier and not exactly office desk friendly, we couldn’t rank it higher as portability is one of the most important metrics that we base the score on. If this isn’t a problem to you and you are certain you will find a place in your home (and heart) for Lasko, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t go for it!
