🦻 MAIN FEATURES

The third entry on our list, Eargo’s Neo, has very few flaws, and it’s virtually unrivaled in terms of technology. But it is also the most expensive option, so we couldn’t rank it higher. But those who don’t mind treating themselves to something expensive will receive a rechargeable and conveniently portable case, app controls that allow greater customization, excellent feedback cancellation and audio quality, and 4 sound profiles that are easy to switch between, adapt to surroundings, and remember your preference. Eargo also has the advantage of making the sound feel extra natural.

DESIGN AND COMFORT

Eargo’s Neo is also unique in its design. Just like HearClear Pro, it is a CIC-type hearing aid, so it’s virtually invisible when worn. The ultra-small design also adds to the comfort. But here’s the best part – Neo has unique Flexi TetraPalms earplugs. Shaped with gaps in between, these plugs fit into your ear canal securely while also allowing the air to flow through – creating an airy, light feel and adding to the realism of the sound. Airflow, however, does not impede the sound quality, nor would it cause feedback. The only thing that could be annoying is if your hearing aids need charging.

EASE OF USE

Neo might be a bit difficult to grasp for those who struggle with technology. But even though it does offer app controls and is very high-tech, this hearing aid is not overly complicated. The app is straightforward, but you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. It is possible to control your device by simply double-tapping it while it’s inside your ear, thus switching between four different sound profiles to find the one that matches your needs. Eargo will remember your choice, so you won’t have to set it up every time you use it. A handy carrying/charging case is also relatively effortless.

VALUE

Overall, you do get plenty of amazing features when purchasing Eargo’s Neo. In terms of sound quality and comfort, it’s way ahead of most hearing aids. But the price is something not everyone can afford. While Eargo does offer a flexible payment plan, there are other hearing aids on this list that, while maybe not as advanced as this one, could work very well yet still be affordable. So, it all comes down to your personal capabilities and needs. Do you want a high-tech device and don’t mind paying a lot for it? Then Eargo could be a fair option for you.
