Canary View is our third entry on this list, falling behind the top two choices due to its higher price and fewer features. But despite that, it still has plenty to offer, and not only design-wise. It has 1080p video quality, clear sound recording, and night vision. Canary, just like all the best pet cameras, has two-way audio, so you can chat with your pet or tell them off if they’re misbehaving wherever you are. All the data collected by this device, or the app is encrypted, so all of the recordings of your home or family members will be safe. Another great feature is that Canary, just like Nooie, offers Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility.
DESIGN AND USE
Canary has an award-winning, sleek and compact design. In fact, it doesn’t look much like a camera at all, so if your pets are too smart for their own good, you will have no trouble disguising this device. It is also relatively easy to use – just download the app, connect the camera to Wi-Fi, and watch footage there and then! You can choose the Basic service for simple, everyday features or subscribe to a Premium service to get 30-day storage, download recordings, or have person-detection for home security.
VALUE
Canary has many great features, like simple use, installation, and innovative design. However, despite it already being quite pricy, you would also need to get Premium service to get a full range of features, so that’s extra long-term expenses. But if you only need the camera to look after your pet and if you like this design more than others, then Basic service should certainly suffice. Overall, there are things that Canary View falls short on, but it’s still worthy of your attention.
