BOSCH+SOHN Boso

♥ MAIN FEATURES
Another blood pressure monitor we liked was this BOSCH+SOHN Boso Medicus monitor from a German manufacturer. Like the majority of blood pressure monitors available today, Boso has a memory feature for two users. What was interesting, however, was that this device has two separate buttons for two different users. It's pretty straightforward – the first button for the first person and the second one for the second user. This is a substantial advantage that Boso holds against its competitors because, in this way, it's much easier to keep track of each user's data. A bit disappointing was that it only stores up to 30 measurements for each user, whereas most other BP monitors store up to 90 readings per person. The accuracy wasn’t impeccable either. Even though the readings were mostly accurate, Boso still showed slight inconsistency, which is not a good sign for a BP monitor.

PORTABILITY AND DESIGN
What’s really lovely about this monitor is that it comes with a durable carry bag, making traveling so much easier. However, it would be even better if the device itself wasn't so bulky. The design has some room for improvement here. First of all, this gadget is quite bulky and large, compared to its way more compact and modern competitors. While other devices are quite visually appealing, Boso opted for functionality over looks. Additionally, the device has a rather small screen for its size. It's hard not to notice that because of it there’s a lot of unused space.

EASE OF USE
Boso BP monitor has a basic one-button operation requiring no particular skill or understanding about BP monitor's functionality. This Boso Family monitor doesn’t have an overcomplicated mobile app, so if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, Boso Family might be good for you. Speaking of the cuff, it’s a pretty standard one, with its length being in an optimal range of 22-42cm to fit most users. It was pleasant to discover that the cuff doesn't squeeze too tight during the measurement process, and it doesn’t take long to get the reading. Additionally, we have to give credit to Boso Family for including a set of 4 AAA batteries in the package. That’s a really nice touch!

VALUE
We would love to say this device would be great for the elderly as it's effortless to operate. However, it has a rather small display screen for a device this size. It's also in the higher price range, and it might not meet the expectations. As if that wasn't enough, BOSCH+SOHN charges for the shipping as well, so the price increases. Personally, we would select more affordable devices on this list, as some are even better in terms of overall quality. Let alone the fact that Boso’s readings were slightly inconsistent – an error that should never be present among BP monitors.
