Bellissima
🪞 MAIN FEATURES
Last but not least is a hair straightener from Bellissima. In general, it is a nice device, but it leans towards the pricy side while offering nearly identical features. For that reason, we couldn’t place Bellissima higher on the list. The only thing that distinguishes Bellissima from the rest is that it uses steam technology to straighten your hair. This is supposed to leave no frizz and presumably damage your hair less. It’s difficult to test in practice the extent of the damage, so we will leave Bellissima in the 5th place.
DESIGN AND EASE OF USE
Bellissima offers only three temperature settings: 170 °C - 200 °C - 230 °C. The starting temperature is already high enough to do some damage to your hair so this sort of beats the purpose of the hair-protecting steam technology. As for the ease of use, you might need to play a bit with this device before you get an idea how to activate the steam flow (you might need to open and close the hair straightener multiple times before you can use it).
VALUE
All in all, Bellissima is a nice option but it’s not exactly the definition of cheap. It only has three different temperature settings, so not a lot of choice here. The only thing that makes Bellissima a slightly more interesting option is the steam technology, but it also comes with its pros and cons. If this is something you are willing to try, then Bellissima would be a nice choice but otherwise you can find options that offer a better price to quality ratio.
