Audicus Aura

Small CIC design
Tap-controls
Earwax protectors
Replaceable batteries
1-year warranty

🦻 MAIN FEATURES

Another great option is Audicus Aura. It’s average in terms of price, coming third after MDHearingAid and HearClear Pro, and is less advanced than Eargo, hence we couldn’t place it higher. However, this should not deter you from at least looking into it as an option when selecting your hearing aid. Aura can offer you clear sound and focus on speech rather than background noise so that you would experience the world in the best way possible. The packaging includes one hearing aid (or two if you order a pair), a carrying case, a cleaning brush, 10 replaceable batteries, earplugs, and wax guards.

DESIGN AND COMFORT

Audicus Aura is similar to HearClear Pro in a way that it is also a CIC device and has a color-coded design option. However, Aura is also available in beige for those who are more self-conscious about their hearing loss. This hearing aid is also quite comfortable and very easy to insert and remove. You should also not worry about accidentally losing it – Aura will stay firmly in your ear even if you’ll move a lot or put something over your ears. The plugs are included in the package and are of different sizes, so you are guaranteed to find the one that would suit you best.

EASE OF USE

Those who are not fans of reliance on mobile devices will appreciate the lack of app and app-related controls. It may not be as easy to adjust the volume as it is in HearClear Pro, but it’s nevertheless possible to master. Instead of turning the dial to change the volume, you would need to double-tap. It is not very straightforward, and you would need to double-tap to the loudest setting to go back to the lowest one, but that’s about as complicated as it gets. The instructions are clearly written, and if your ears are sensitive, you can always just turn the device off to reset it to volume level 1.

VALUE

All in all, Audicus Aura is a good option for a hearing aid. There are two design options to choose from, and both are very comfortable. You can select one device or a pair and pay accordingly while also choosing a flexible payment plan. Aura has great sound quality and comes with an abundance of accessories necessary for long-term daily use. It is also very discreet, as all CIC devices tend to be. The controls can be a bit complicated, a dial for change of volume would probably work better, but it’s not impossible to learn. And while it is not the cheapest device on this list, it is also not the most expensive.
